The Latest on Elektra

‘a1ant’ tells us that MTV will feature the Elektra movie, hitting theaters on January 14th:

She’s strong, violent, and looks hot in red! Jennifer Garner stars as an assassin, looking for redemption in the sequel spin-off to DAREDEVIL, titled ELEKTRA!

MTV goes behind the scenes of the Marvel Comics adaption and talks to stars of the film! Learn how Elektra spins her sais, and how the creative team brought the mind-blowing special effects to the big screen! All this, including your first look at a scene from the film!

NEVER BEFORE SCENE: ELEKTRA is currently set to air on December 29, 2004 at 9PM EST/ 8PM PST. This is a tentative date/time, and please keep in mind that it is subject to change!

‘Eddy’ also says that Jennifer Garner will be hosting “Saturday Night Life” on January 15th. Garner will also be featured on Extra tonight, so be sure to tune in.

Garner to play Catch and Release

Jennifer Garner is in talks to star in the romantic comedy Catch and Release, The Hollywood Reporter says.
In the Columbia Pictures movie, Garner will play a woman facing the sudden death of her husband and the secrets he kept from her.

Scribe Susannah Grant (28 Days, Erin Brockovich) will make her feature directorial debut on the project.

Jennifer Garner is in negotiations to follow up “Elektra” with a return to romantic comedies in “Catch and Release.” Susannah Grant, who wrote “Erin Brockovich” and “28 Days,” will direct and also penned the script about a widow who must deal with the secrets of her recently deceased husband. … Jamie Foxx has been tapped to play an undercover government agent forced to assassinate his crooked mentor in “The Executioner’s Game,” based on a novel due in January from Gary Hardwick, best known for directing “Deliver Us From Eva” and “The Brothers.” Hardwick will adapt his book but is so far not attached to direct. …

Elektra’s First Look

The Movie Box has a First Look video from Elektra. Go to the site and check the video the TheMovieBox (the ones from the official website weren’t working when I tried). You’re gonna need QuickTime.

The movie is set to be released on February 18, 2005. I *cant* wait!!
